About ten years ago, thanks to the generosity of benefactors, the monastery had been renovated and a water supply system had been installed, for the benefit of the inhabitants of the surrounding villages. Today, after the earthquake in September 2009, everything has to be rebuilt.

Chungkhar is a family monastery. As it is not a State ownership, it cannot receive any help from the government.

How to support the project

The works, which cost is evaluated at 300 000 Euros, should stretch to 3 years. All donations, even the most modest ones, are welcomed.

You can support the reconstruction of the Chungkhar Monastery by making a donation by bank transfer through the congregation.
